1. Who we are

Stan Labs ("we", "us", "our") is a digital solutions business based in Limpopo, South Africa. We provide website development, advertising management, WhatsApp receptionist and email automation services.

This policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal information, including data we access through Stan Labs Ads Automation, our tool for managing Google Ads campaigns for our clients.

2. Information we collect

From clients and website visitors:

• Contact details you give us, such as your name, email address, phone number and business name.
• Messages you send us through WhatsApp, email or other channels.

Through Stan Labs Ads Automation (Google user data): When a client signs in with Google and authorises our app, we access:

• Basic Google account information needed to sign in, such as the email address.
• Google Ads account data through the Google Ads API, including campaigns, ad groups, ads, keywords, budgets, and performance metrics such as clicks, impressions, costs and conversions.

We only access Google Ads accounts that the client has explicitly authorised.

3. How we use Google user data

We use Google Ads data only to provide our advertising management service to the client who authorised it, specifically to:

• Create, edit, pause and manage campaigns, ads, keywords and budgets at the client's request.
• Produce performance reports for the client.
• Monitor spend and generate optimisation suggestions for the client's campaigns.

We do not use Google user data for any other purpose, including selling it, using it for our own advertising, or building profiles of individuals.

4. AI-assisted features

Some features use artificial intelligence services to suggest ad copy and campaign improvements. To do this, limited campaign information (such as ad text, keywords and performance figures) may be processed by an AI service provider. We do not use Google user data to train generalised AI or machine learning models, and our team reviews AI suggestions before any change goes live in a client's account.

5. Sharing your information

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information or Google user data. We only share information:

• With service providers that help us run our services (such as hosting and AI processing providers), only as needed and under confidentiality obligations.
• When required by law, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
• With the client's explicit consent.

6. Storage and security

We store access tokens and data securely and limit access to authorised Stan Labs team members only. We use encrypted connections when communicating with Google services. No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

7. Data retention and deletion

We keep Google user data only for as long as needed to provide our service to the client. When a client stops using our service or asks us to, we delete their stored data and access tokens within 30 days.

You can revoke Stan Labs Ads Automation's access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. You can also email us to request deletion of your data.

8. Your rights

Under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), you have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, and to object to how we process it. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the effective date shown at the top.
